KIPP Booker T. Washington and KIPP Renaissance high schools started their seasons with a friendly scrimmage match in August to get them ready to tackle the competition.
At the middle school level, the first KIPP Bowl matched KIPP Leadership Academy and KIPP: Ernest N. "Dutch" Morial School against KIPP Believe College Prep and KIPP Central City Academy in September. KBCP/KCCA took the game 14-0.
